On January 4, 2026, Jointech hosted a high-level delegation of 13 senior representatives from Sudan Customs and Sudan Telecom – Zain for a five-day exchange program. The visit marked an important milestone in advancing cross-border regulatory innovation and digital supply chain development across Africa.
As African economies continue to accelerate regional trade integration and infrastructure modernization, the need for reliable, transparent, and technology-driven supervision systems has become increasingly critical. Against this backdrop, the exchange focused on how digital technologies can support more effective cross-border oversight and logistics governance tailored to the operational realities of African markets.
Throughout the program, we conducted extensive discussions on critical areas such as cross-border cargo monitoring, digital supply chain governance, mobile asset security, and the combined application of telecommunications infrastructure and IoT technologies. Through a series of technical workshops, solution evaluations, and live demonstrations, participants examined how advanced technologies can be applied to address practical regulatory and operational challenges in real-world environments.
A central focus of the exchange was ensuring that technological solutions align with local regulatory frameworks and operational realities. By adopting a scenario-based approach-covering requirement analysis, solution customization, and deployment validation—the discussions emphasized feasibility, scalability, and sustainable long-term operation. This collaborative process helped define a clear direction for future cooperation.
Following the conclusion of the visit, Jointech and Zain Telecom formally signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, signaling the start of a long-term and structured partnership. Moving beyond individual projects, the collaboration reflects a shared vision in the following strategic areas:
Modernization of smart customs supervision systems
Digital transformation of cross-border logistics oversight
Deep integration of telecommunications networks with IoT-enabled regulatory technologies
During the five-day engagement, the Sudanese delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of Jointech’s end-to-end capabilities—from technology research and product development to project delivery and global service support. Particular attention was given to solution adaptability in diverse African operating environments.
The discussions covered a wide range of application scenarios, including:
Intelligent terminals and mobile asset management platforms supporting pre-event alerts, in-transit control, and post-event traceability
Smart customs supervision and risk management solutions
Safety management systems for oil and fuel transportation
End-to-end visibility for cross-border logistics and digital supply chain collaboration across African regions
Adaptability remained a recurring theme, underscoring the importance of configurable solutions that can respond to varying infrastructure conditions, regulatory requirements, and cross-border operating models while maintaining reliability, security, and long-term service continuity.
